Tommie Edward O'Rear Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Tommie Edward O’Rear, 78, of Ringgold, Georgia passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021 at his residence. A resident of the Chattanooga, North Georgia area most of his life, he was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a former employee of Five Star Food Services and a member of New Liberty Baptist Church. Tommie was a devoted husband for 52 years, loving father and grandfather. He loved golf, softball and was a Big UT fan. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Leon and Mamie Inez Carter O’Rear. He is survived by his loving wife, Lillie “Jean: Goins O’Rear; Three children, Tammie (Brett) Richmond of Hendersonville, TN., Terrie (Brad) Brown of Bellevue, Nebraska; and Kristain (Steven) Henry of Ringgold, GA.; sister, Carol Lovelady of Ooltewah, TN.; six grandchildren, Kristin (Daniel) Isabell, Shelbie Davidson, Graceson (Brittany) O’Rear, Chelsie (Eric) Thayer, Summitt (Steven) Newton and Conner Brown; two great grandchildren, Elias Isabell and Brigham Newton; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5-8 P.M. Wednesday and 12-2 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 6, 2021 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Danny Henson officiating. Interment will be held 1:30 P.M. Monday, May 10, 2021 at Chattanooga National Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel Ringgold, Georgia.
