Teresa "Terri" Ann Thompson Marcus Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Teresa “Terri” Ann Thompson Marcus, 70, of Ringgold, Georgia passed away Monday, June 20, 2022. A native of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, she has lived in the Ringgold area for over 35 years. She was the Nutritionist for Chattanooga State Tennessee College where she worked for 27 years and was of the Christian faith. She was a member of the Chattanooga Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the American Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She is preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Eugene “Gene” Marcus; parents, John Stanley and Elizabeth Ann Shane Thompson; and brother, Patrick R. Thompson. Terri is survived by two sons, Joshua (Kim) Marcus of Kingsport, TN., and Daniel (Nicole) Marcus of Epworth, GA.; two step-sons, Christopher Marcus of Ringgold, GA., and Mark (Sharon) Marcus of Rossville, GA.; two sisters, Pamela T. Leftkowitz of Arizona and S. Kathleen Thompson of North Carolina; brother, Michael John Thompson of White Pine, TN.; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 23, 2022 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Dennis Chambers officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Gardens. The family will receive friends 5-8 P.M. Wednesday and 9 A.M. until funeral time Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers Terri request donations be made to the Chattanooga State Technical Community College's Foundation for Student Scholarships.
