Ronald Coleman Corey Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ronald Coleman Corey, 80 of Hixson, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 26, 2022. He was born in LaFayette, Georgia on November 12, 1941 to the late, Rex & Mary Sue Burns Corey and had lived in the North Georgia area for most of his life. He was a member of Sequoyah Baptist Church and was truly a devoted man of God, who loved spreading the gospel. He was always putting others needs before his own and took pride in helping others, whenever possible. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, having enlisted from 1965 to 1969 and had served during the Vietnam War. He was a gifted Artist from a very young age, whether drawing or painting and made a career for himself in the Commercial Art industry, working for several companies throughout his life. He had a passion for cars, old and new and loved woodworking and building furniture. He was a loving and devoted brother, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather that will be truly missed by all who knew him. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Corey; brother, Mark Allen Corey and step-mother, Frances Plemons Corey. Survivors include his loving wife of more than 52 years, Alice Eaton Corey; sons and daughter-in-law, Phillip Bryon & Patricia Corey and Andrew Eaton; daughter, Kristina Michelle Corey; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda & Charles Proctor; 2 grandchildren, Heather Nicole Corey and Joshua Eaton; great grandson, Caleb Dewayne Bentley; grand puppies, Bridget, Kendall, Harley, Noah and Grand Kitty Oliver; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family & friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 1, 2022 in the J. Avery Bryan Chapel with Pastor David Stancil officiating. Burial will follow in the Chickamauga City Cemetery.
