Mavor "Sue" Sosebee Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mavor “Sue” Chastain Sosebee, 95, of Rossville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 21, 2022. She was born in Cleveland, Georgia to the late, William and Ethel Chastain and had lived in the North Georgia area for most of her life. She was a member of Lakeview First Baptist Church and was always putting others needs before her own. Her main priorities in life were God first and then taking care of her family. She was a loving and devoted sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend that will be truly missed by all who knew her. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Isaac William Sosebee; and four brothers, Vick Chastain, Willard Chastain, Vernon Chastain and Arlin Chastain. Survivors include her son & daughter-in-law, Bill & Cynthia Sosebee; brother, Carlton Chastain; 3 grandchildren, William Keith Sosebee, Hannah Leigh Sosebee and Tara Elizabeth Singletary; 6 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and extended family & friends. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Amanda Gaddis and Davina Debord, as well as Christy with Hearth Hospice for their amazing service and compassion during this time. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 24, 2022 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Pastor Patrick Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in the Crestlawn Memorial Park.
