Marlon Wayne Hancock Jr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Marlon “Wayne” Hancock, Jr., 44, of Ringgold, lost his battle in this life, on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from a severe heart attack that took place on Thursday, May 26, 2022. He fought long and hard, but just couldn’t win this fight. He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga & North Georgia areas and was of the Christian faith. He was a graduate of Lakeview High School, where he participated in the ROTC program and enjoyed spending time with his family & friends. He had worked in the construction industry for most of his life and was a loving and devoted son, brother, father and friend that will be truly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Hancock; sister, Carol Malone Erickson and all of his grandparents. Survivors include his loving companion, Amber Pitts Hancock; his parents, Marlon and Shirley Ann Hancock; children, Kayden Donavon, Victoria Rockholt, Elizabeth Rockholt, Katherine Rockholt and Izabella Rockholt; brother & sister-in-law, James Larry & (Tabitha) Erickson, Jr.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Deborah Erickson & (Billy) Hudgens and Constance Jean Erickson Williams & (Richard Burkhart); 2 special nieces, that he had an unbreakable bond with, Christa Erickson Matthews and Casey Williams Smith; and numerous extended family & friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 4, 2022 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel. Burial will follow in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens.
