Margaret Ann Wilson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Margaret Ann Jenkins Wilson, age 82 of Flintstone, GA, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 9, 2021. She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga-North Georgia area and a member of Flintstone Baptist Church. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and then obtained her Master’s degree in Education from Berry College. She retired from Walker County Board of Education after 30+ years of service. She was a member of the High Point Community Club, Walker County Retired Educators Association and was a cook for Constructors for Christ. Ms. Wilson was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Margaret Jenkins; brother, Ed Jenkins; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dot Julian (Sam) and Fran Francher (Paul). Those left to cherish her memory include daughters, Jeannine Wilson, Keri Perkins (Randy) and Elizabeth Genter (Butch); son, Gene Wilson (Jennifer); sister-in-law, Margie Jenkins; grandchildren, Brandon Wilson (Hillary), Nicole Wilson, Dakota Genter (Emili), Jamey Billups, Katie Perkins, Kilie Wilson, Brodie Genter, Tenslee Wilson and Laney Wilson; great-grandson, Brantley Genter; numerous nieces, nephews and host of friends including her sister-in-Christ, Nancy Guerrero. The family will receive friends 2pm to 8pm Tuesday, April 13, 2021 and 11am to 1pm Wednesday at Wilson Funeral Home Fort Oglethorpe Chapel. The funeral service will be 1pm Wednesday in the funeral home chapel, Pastor Brent Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Forrest Hills Cemetery in Chattanooga.
