Leonard Swafford Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Leonard Swafford, 69, of Chickamauga, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021. He was born in LaFollette, Tennessee to the late, Same & Olive Walls Swafford and had lived in the North Georgia area for most of his life. He was of the Christian faith and retired from Synthetic Industries in 2001 after more than 20 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking, spending time with his family & friends and was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother that will be truly missed by all who knew him. He was also preceded in death by several siblings, Infant Billy Swafford, Sammy Swafford, Evelyn Swafford Douglas, DeAnna Swafford Pritchett, John Swafford and Paul Swafford. Survivors include his loving wife of more than 48 years, Elaine Guthrie Swafford; sons & daughter-in-law, Tony Swafford and Alan & (Angie) Swafford; brother, Charles Swafford; sisters, Eva Clark, Violet Head and Janice Gaddis; grandson, Alexander Alan Swafford and numerous extended family & friends. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 8, 2021 in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens with Bro. Gary Clark officiating.
