Jesse Randolph Harrell Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jesse Randolph Harrell, 79, of Dayton, Tennessee, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 28, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Dayton, Tennessee on September 24, 1942 to the late, James and Pearl Harrell and had lived in the Chattanooga area for most of his life. He was of the Baptist faith and was a Vietnam veteran, who retired from the United States Coast Guard after more than 27 years of service. He then served as a Police Officer for the Chattanooga Police Department for more than 28 years before retiring in 1994. He enjoyed spending time with his family & friends and was a loving and devoted brother, father, grandfather and great grandfather that will be truly missed by all who knew him. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Harrell; daughter, Kay Ridge; grandson, Kaleb Ridge; sister, Judy Hollis and uncle, Jimmy Swafford. Survivors include his daughter, Stephanie Harrell; son & daughter-in-law, Kenneth & Cindy Harrell; brother, James Harrell; 5 grandchildren, Alicia & (Nathaniel) Allison, Keeli & (Steven) Ridge, Katelyn Ridge, Matthew & (Amber) Harrell and Ashley & (Kevin) Harrell; great grandchildren, Seth, Ethan, Trinity, Percy, Gia, Caylie, Isacc, Gracelie, Lasha, Kylie, Steven and Klay; his lady friend, Barbara Chalker and numerous extended family & friends. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 2, 2022 in the Chattanooga National Cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
