Jerry Edward Smith Sr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jerry Edward Smith, Sr., 70, of Ringgold, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. He was born in Ringgold, Georgia on January 30, 1952 to the late, James Edward and Stella “Doodle” Smith and was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area. He was a member and deacon of Gospel Way Baptist Church and was the Owner & Operator of Jerry Smith Company for more than 27 years. He loved model cars, listening to old records, watching movies and spending time with his family & friends. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend that will be truly missed by all who knew him. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Cherry Anne Smith and granddaughter, Haley Grace Smith. Survivors include his loving wife of more than 51 years, Anne Hullett Smith; son & daughter-in-law, Jerry Edward & (Missy) Smith, Jr.; daughter & son-in-law, Krissy & (Brian) Nichols; sister, Sue Nixon; grandchildren, Mackenzie Smith, Garrett Smith, Kenadi Nichols and Dakota & (Brittany) Nichols; several nieces, nephews and extended family & friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 21, 2022 in the Gospel Way Baptist Church with Pastor Kirby Hill and Associate Pastor James Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at Gospel Way Baptist Church.
