James Alfred Hudson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

James Alfred Hudson, 67, of Ringgold, Georgia went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 27, 2021. James was born in Florence, South Carolina on July 5, 1953. He was resident of Ringgold for the past 30 years and was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church. James retired in 2019 after 25 years with U.S. Xpress. He was a friend and mentor to everyone who knew him in the transportation industry. James never met a stranger and was dearly loved by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his father, Alfred Wilton Hudson and mother, Sarah Katherine Hill Hudson Amerson. He is survived by his loving wife, of 47 years, Susan Jefferson Hudson of Ringgold, GA.; two sons, Scott (Kelly) Hudson and Bryan (Brittney) Hudson both of Ringgold, GA.; two sisters, Norma Stone and Pat (Dave) Thompson both of Florence, S.C.; five grandchildren, Myles, Brayden, Chandler, Macie, and Baylee Hudson; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, July 1, 2021 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 4-8 P.M. Wednesday and 12-1 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Nate McClure, Donald Ramsey, Mike Blackwell, Russell McPeake, Jeff Skeen, Steve Henson, Brian Card and Lee Mashburn will serve as pallbearers.
