Frederick "Freddy" Plank Jr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Frederick “Freddy” Joseph Plank Jr. 57 of Rock Spring passed away on June 7, 2022 in the comfort of his home. He has lived in Rock Spring for the past 8 years, previously residing in the Chattanooga Area. He graduated from Rossville High School class of 82. Freddy was an avid Tennessee Vols Fan, loved motorcycles, throwing darts, and playing foosball. He is preceded in death by his wife Janet Lee Plank; his father Frederick Plank Sr.; and sister Vickie Smith. Freddy is survived by his mother Starr (Dennis) Gentry; 6 daughters Candice (Chris) Plank, Courtney (J.P.) Petty, Christa (Colby) Plank, Carrie (Andy) Harrison, Kaleigh (Mason) Atkins, Merretta Morgan; sisters and brothers Deborah Plank, Treena (Randy) Hixon, David (Amanda) Plank, Joseph Plank, Brenda Gelnett; grandchildren Kylee, Kinsley, Kyson, Katelynn, Karlie, Charlotte; Furry Companion Loki; several nieces, nephews, and extended family. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on both Thursday June 9, 2022 and Friday June 10, 2022 in the parlor of the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. in the Ft. Oglethorpe Chapel of Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Travis Rodgers officiating. A burial will follow at Tennessee Georgia Memorial Gardens in Rossville.
