Donald Wilson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Donald Wilson, 84, of Rossville, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022. He was raised in Trion, Georgia and moved to Rossville in 1953, where he graduated from Rossville High School, class of 1955. Donald was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church. He was a great father and enjoyed bowling, woodworking, and wordsearches. Donald retired from Red Food Store/Bi-Lo after 50 years of service and was an avid golfer and fisherman. He is preceded in death by his wife, Billie Mae Clark Wilson; parents, Fletcher and Ruby Pettyjohn Wilson; brother, Earl Wilson, and great granddaughter, Lynnleigh Wilson. Donald is survived by his children, Eddie (Janet) Wilson, Susan Wilson Brooks, Tommy (Debbie) Wilson; grandsons, Billy (Melissa) Wilson, Michael Brooks, Geoff Wilson; great granddaughters, Lillian Brooks, Maci Wilson, Abigail Wilson. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 2, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2022 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Garland Hullender and Brother John Sterner officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakewood Memorial Gardens ~ South. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the American Cancer Society (cancer.org or 1-800-227-2345).
