Delmar Gene Bennett Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Delmar Gene Bennett, 90, of Ringgold, Georgia passed away Thursday, June 30, 2022. A native of Logan, Illinois, he has lived in the Ringgold area for the past 67 years and was formerly of Sesser, Illinois. Delmar was a former employee of Binswanger Glass Co. a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and was of the Pentecostal faith. He was a faithful devoted servant to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and loved to share with others of his love for the Lord. He ran a good race, fought the good fight of faith, now he has heard his Lord say to him, “Well done thou good and faithful servant, thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things; enter thou into the joy of the Lord.” We rejoice with you Dad and we shall see you again. He is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Joyce Hooper Bennett; parents. Wathie and Loney Mocaby Bennett; three sisters, Bernice Skurat, Mildred Wisnewski and Myrl Conner; and four brothers, Lindell Bennett, Wathie L. Bennett, James Lowell Bennett and Donnie Eugene Bennett. He is survived by six children, Pam Bennett of Ringgold, GA., Connie Bennett of Ringgold, GA., Greg (Susan) Bennett of Ringgold, GA., Pat (Jeannette) Bennett of Rock Spring, GA., Mike (April) Bennett of Calhoun, GA., and Joe (Melody) Bennett of Orlando, FL.; two sisters, Yvonda Drew of Tamms, IL., and Sharon Reichert of Herrin, IL.; fifteen grandchildren twenty six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, July 3, 2022 at Ringgold Church of God with Pastor Joe Bennett officiating. Interment will follow at Woodstation Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-8 P.M. Saturday and 11 A.M. until 1:30 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel Ringgold, Georgia.
