Charles Edward Nichols Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Charles Edward Nichols 87, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 20, 2022. He spent most of his life in the Chattanooga and North Georgia area and was a member of Unity Baptist Church. Charles was an avid golfer and the owner and operator of East Gate Par Three Golf Course and later retired from Brown Acres Golf Course. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War and loved watching football. Charles is preceded in death by his wife, Louise Payne Nichols; parents, Colonel Cleveland “C.C.” and Eunice Stephenson Nichols; children, Danny Nichols and Kathy Nichols, as well as several siblings. He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn (Gary) Nelson; daughter-in-law, Doris Nichols; grandchildren, Tiffany (Chris) Dowden, Michael Nichols, Hailey (Brent) Seltzer; great grandchildren, Lauren, Jackson, and Presley, as well as several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Lakewood Memorial Gardens ~ South with Pastor Steve Fletcher officiating.
