Mr. Allen Milton Sosebee Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Allen Milton Sosebee age 84, passed away Sunday – May 15, 2022. He was born in LaFayette, Georgia to the late Lonnie Sosebee and Gladys Brown Sosebee Thomas. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War as an Airman First Class. He worked many years for the Civil Service where he was a Millwright and constructed silos for missiles. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church in LaFayette, Georgia. He was a member of Disabled Veterans and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed gardening, working in his green house, fishing, collecting firearms of all types and reloading ammunition. He was also a member of The Dade County Square Dancers and enjoyed ballroom dancing as well. But most of all, he enjoyed and loved spending time with his family dearly. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of fifty-eight years: Carolyn Eaker Sosebee, sister: Barbara Ann Sosebee and brother: Rubin Ray Sosebee. He is survived by his children: Lynn (David) Schlageter of Gruetli Laager, TN, Timothy Allen Sosebee of Trion, GA, sisters: Georgia Mae (John) Adams of Trion, GA, Sandra Sosebee of Washington State, brothers: Kenneth (Patricia) Sosebee of Cleveland, TN, Robert (Carol) Thomas, Jr. of LaFayette, GA, granddaughter: Natasha “Angel” (Jason) Kendrick, great-grandsons: Brysen Sosebee and Jase Kendrick all of Trion, GA, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and after 11:00 am - Wednesday morning prior to the service. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm – Wednesday – May 18, 2022 in the chapel with Pastor Tim Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgeway Cemetery – LaFayette, Georgia.
