Gregory Alex Templeton

Gregory Templeton age 53, of Chickamauga, Georgia, went home to be with The Lord on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. Greg was raised in the Baptist faith and carried with him a strong spirit of kindness, generosity, and determination. He was a gifted mechanic with an incredible ability to understand how things worked. He had a love for tinkering. His knowledge and natural talent eventually led him to pursue a career as an entrepreneur. Greg shared his life with Jennie, the mother of his children. Together, they built a family and made countless memories along the way. Their journey was filled with moments of love, laughter, challenges, and cherished memories that will remain a lasting part of their family’s story. Jennie and their children will forever hold close the memories of the life they shared with Greg and the love he gave to them. Greg had a deep love for music and enjoyed sharing his musical talents with others. He spent time as a part-time cowbell player for the band Aunt Betty. Music was not his only gift. Greg was also graced with a natural talent for dancing and had a way of bringing joy where the music took him. Above all, Greg had a heart of gold. He was the kind of person who would gladly give you the shirt off his back to someone in need, never hesitating to help others. His generosity and willingness to lend a hand were a true reflection of a person he was. Greg treasured spending time with his granddaughter, Charlie. She brought him immense joy and forever cherished memories. Greg will be remembered for his remarkable talents, his love of music, dancing, and most of all, the love he gave so freely to those around him. He is preceded in death by his father: George Templeton and his grandparents: Dan and Betty Wiley. He is survived by his mother: Sandra Templeton; the love of his life: Jennie Templeton; sons: Haden (Hannah) Templeton, and Trevor Templeton; Granddaughter Charlie Templeton; siblings: Greta (John) Bradley, and Garrin (Yvonne) Templeton. Also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family members. The family will receive friends on Friday - September 4, 2026 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., and Saturday – September 5, 2026, from 12:00 noon until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. In celebration of Greg’s love for Tennessee football, we invite others to dress in their game day apparel on Saturday. Also, to celebrate the first day of college football season. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm – Sunday - September 6, 2026, with Brother Charles Kittle officiating. Burial will be at Chickamauga City Cemetery following on Sunday - September 6, 2026.
