Donna Goins Land

The story of Donna Goins Land cannot be told by dates alone. Born to Gordon and Christine Goins, Donna spent her life making memories with the people she loved. Whether camping with family, traveling the country, cheering on her favorite NASCAR drivers, riding motorcycles, or simply spending time with friends and family, she believed life was meant to be shared. Rossville, Georgia, was home, but Donna loved adventure. Some of her happiest memories were camping with her parents and her sister, Chris, who remained one of her closest friends throughout her life. Donna married Billy Russell Summey and together they welcomed three children: Russ, Tiffany, and Scott. Her love for her children never wavered. Years later she married David Land, and together they enjoyed traveling, motorcycles, racing, and making memories with family and friends. NASCAR was one of Donna’s greatest passions. She loved traveling to races with David and her son Russ in their bus turned camper. Along the way, she built lifelong friendships with people who became family, including Felicia, Lytlin, Gerry Lee, Ann, Jimmy, Sylvia Ann, and many others. Of all the titles she held throughout her life, one of her favorites was Nonnie. Donna loved fiercely. She was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, and mother in law. Her children, Russ, Tiffany, and Scott, were always in her heart, and family was everything to her. For more than 30 years, her daughter in law Kelly was blessed to have Donna not only as a mother in law, but as a second mother and dear friend. Like every family, Donna experienced great loss. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Christine Goins; her first husband, Billy Russell Summey; her husband, David Land; and her beloved son, Billy Russell “Russ” Summey Jr. Today, her family finds comfort in imagining the reunion that took place when she arrived in Heaven, reunited with those she loved and missed so dearly. Donna will be remembered for her loyalty, resilience, kindness, and love for family. The memories she created and the stories she leaves behind will continue to be shared for generations to come. Donna is survived by her daughter, Tiffany Blakemore; her son, Scott Summey (Kelly); her sister, Chris Roach (Jeff); grandchildren Blake, Alexis, Brittany, Whitney, Robby, Kaley, Gracey, Nick, and Chase; great-grandchildren Connor, Jelleeah, Zendayah, Tinsley, Paisley, Brenan, Waylon, Reagan, Willy, and Jayden; and many other beloved family members and friends. Funeral services are scheduled at the Chapel of W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, 555 West Cloud Springs Road, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 with interment following at Lakewood Memory Gardens South. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, June 15, 2026 from 4 p.m. till 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. The family will also receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. till 1:00 p.m. Arrangements by W.L.
