David Tollison Sexton

David Tollison Sexton, 30, of Ringgold, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on March 20th, 2025. Born on April 7th, 1994, in East Ridge, Tennessee, Tollison was a loving fiancé, father, son, brother, and friend. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lloyd and Sarah Sexton, and maternal grandfather, David Lamont Gracey, as well as his step-grandfather, Bill Stubblefield. Tollison is survived by his fiancée, Ciana Seagraves; daughters, Anna and Alex Sexton; parents, Marshall and Tonya Sexton; sister Sarah (Justin) Harris; niece Emily Harris; grandmother Artie Stubblefield; cousin Jamie Downer; close friend Brandon Johnson; as well as many other extended family members and friends. Tollison was a lifelong resident of Ringgold, Georgia, where his love for the outdoors and cars began at a young age. He learned to drive his dad’s Jeep Wrangler at just eight years old, propped up on a pillow to reach the pedals. That passion for cars and off-roading stayed with him throughout his life. He graduated from Ringgold High School, Class of 2012, and continued to build a life filled with the things he loved most. Tollison and his fiancée, Ciana Seagraves, were high school sweethearts who grew into parents together, building a life with love and shared experiences. He was incredibly proud of their family, and his love and commitment to Ciana and their daughters were clear to all who knew him. Tollison was a dedicated employee at Metro Plumbing Heating and Air for the past eight years, where he was respected and loved by his work family. He took great pride in his work and was known for his dedication, strong work ethic, and kindness. Tollison formed lasting relationships with his colleagues and was a valued member of the team. Outside of work, Tollison’s life was centered around the things he loved most—his family and his passions. From childhood to adulthood, he always enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether it was canoeing, four-wheeling, shooting guns or grilling for family and friends. He loved vacations with his family, always seeking new experiences with those closest to him. Tollison could almost always be seen wearing black, a look he proudly carried, much like his favorite musician, Johnny Cash. He had a lifelong love for cars and spent many hours working on and admiring them, specifically his Dodge Charger. Tollison’s sense of humor was contagious—he was always ready to have a good time and could turn any ordinary moment into an adventure. He had a way of making people laugh and feel at ease. His infectious energy, loyalty to those he loved, and his ability to bring people together will be missed by all who knew him. A celebration of Tollison’s life will be held at Wilson Funeral Home, Ringgold, Georgia on March 29th, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with a eulogy delivered by Casey Adams at 5:00 PM.
