In Loving Memory of Betty Susan Stoker Betty Susan Stoker, 72, of Chickamauga, Georgia, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 3, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She leaves behind a legacy of unwavering faith, deep love, and a generous spirit that touched all who had the blessing of knowing her. Susan was a devoted Christian whose faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of her life. She was a faithful member of Edgewood Baptist Church, where she worshiped and served the Lord she loved so dearly. Her life was a beautiful reflection of God’s love, and her influence will continue through the many lives she touched. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, treasured sister, and faithful friend. Her greatest joy in life was her family. Susan was known for her strong personality, steadfast convictions, quick wit, and wonderful sense of humor. She had a remarkable ability to make people laugh, speak truth with love, and make everyone around her feel welcome. Whether she was sharing a story, offering encouragement, or simply spending time with those she loved, Susan left an impression on everyone she met. She loved deeply, gave generously, and lived each day with grace, joy, and unwavering faith. Susan is survived by her beloved husband, Barry Stoker; her children, Jason (Beth) Steadman, Robi (Shannon) Yates, and Kenny (Brittany) Stoker; her cherished grandchildren, Gabi Steadman, Emilee Steadman, Morgan (Jim) Cardwell, Addi Yates, Easton Yates, Garrett (Ashley) Yates, McKenzie Stoker, and Brayden Stoker; her brothers, Joel (Gay) Jackson, Mick (Angela) Jackson, and Greg (Brenda) Jackson; several great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Joe and Annelle Jackson. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 6, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Edgewood Baptist Church, 2604 Ringgold Road, East Ridge, Tennessee 37412. A Celebration of Susan’s Life will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Dale Kidd officiating. The eulogy will be delivered by Gene Wilson. Interment will follow at Coulter Cemetery 16201 SR-193 Chickamauga, GA 30707. Serving as pallbearers are Joel Jackson, Mick Jackson, Greg Jackson, Jack Vineyard, Carl Spain, Colton Baker, and Gene Wilson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Edgewood Baptist Church in Susan’s memory. Susan’s family finds comfort in knowing she is now in the presence of her Savior, hearing the words she longed for every believer to hear: “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Matthew 25:21 Though she will be deeply missed, Susan’s legacy of faith, love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to the Lord will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
