Wilma Sue McCurdy Cooper

Wilma Sue McCurdy Cooper, age 93 of Ringgold, went  home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 11, 2021.  She was born to the late Wallace McCurdy and Annie Honea McCurdy in Ider, AL, moved to the Lookout Valley area at a young age and was a life long resident of the Chattanooga area.  Wilma retired in 1993 from T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital after more than 29 years in the registration department.  Wilma enjoyed spending time with her family, as well as traveling.  She has visited all 50 states and was amazed at the beauty of Alaska.  Wilma was also preceded in death by her loving husband, James T. Cooper and sister, Vera Lee McCurdy.  She is survived by her loving children, Steve (Debra) Cooper, Mike Cooper and Cindy (Randy) Smith, siblings, Tommie Erwin, Shirley Garner, Lila McCurdy and Danny McCurdy, 5 grandchildren, 13, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  A graveside service will be held at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.  The family would like to thank the staff at Rosewood Assisted Living and Tapestry Hospice for the love and care given to Ms. Wilma.  Condolences may be left at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com.  Arrangements by W.L.
