Cynthia Louise McRoy Pittman

October 13, 1951 ~ August 10, 2021

Cynthia Louise McRoy Pittman, 69, of Rossville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 10, 2021.  She was born in Dallas, Texas to the late, John & Elois Garrison McRoy and had lived in the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas for most of her life.  She was a member of Union Avenue Baptist Church for many years and was previously employed with AON as a Licensing Analyst for more than 10 years.  She had a passion for Southern Gospel music and was part of “The McRoys” singing group for many years and traveled around to numerous churches and functions throughout her life.  She was a loving and devoted wife, sister and friend that will be truly missed by all who knew her.  She was also preceded in death by her brother, Lonnie Ray McRoy.

Survivors include her loving husband of more than 17 years, David Michael Pittman;  sister & brother-in-law, Darlene & (Frank) Newton;  mother-in-law, Mary Pittman;  sisters-in-law, Barbara Hutcheson and Donna McConnell;  her loving pet companion, Copper; and numerous extended family & friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the Union Avenue Baptist Church, 616 Union Avenue, Rossville, GA 30741 with Rev. James Dotson and Rev. Johnny Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in the Chattanooga Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 1-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home and from 12 – 1 p.m. on Saturday at the church.  Online guest book at  Arrangements by W.     Cindy will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her smile could light up a room. I can almost hear her singing with the angels now. Dave, I will keep you in my prayers.

    I’m so sorry to hear about Cynthia passing. I really enjoyed her singing and testimonials. I know she’s singing and shouting in Heaven now.. prayers for the family..
