February 29, 1936 – August 5, 2021
Wallace R. Hall, 85, of Ringgold, Georgia passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021. He was a proud life-long resident of Ringgold. Preceded in death by his parents, Milburn G. Hall and Alva Lee White Hall; sisters, Barbara (Bill) Garrett of LaFayette and Jenny (Jerry) Schley of Ringgold; and brother, Kenneth Bunch of Benton, TN. He passed away surrounded by love from his wife of 63 years, Nancy C. Hall; children, Rick (Valerie), Vickie (Gary Hale), Calen (Shelia), Galen (Laura), Doug (Medina), Lisa (Andy Friend), Bryan (Karen) and Ryan (Tiffany); a sister, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was known and loved by so many is an understatement. The description “never met a stranger” is Wallace Hall. He was always proud to mention his four sets of twins. The family felt and appreciated the many prayers said on his behalf. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Community Baptist Church in Rock Spring. He was an Army Veteran and was very proud to be a part of Ringgold’s tradition of displaying flags to honor Veterans. He made countless crosses for the flags. He considered it an honor and a privilege to be a part of the display. He enjoyed driving thru Ringgold looking for names and encouraged all to do the same. He was a life-long baseball fan and raised his eight kids at the ball field. A proud moment in his life was having a field named after him at the Jack Maddox Complex. Many of life’s lessons could be learned on the field and being a part of a team. He loved coaching and encouraging kids to play. If he knew a kid wanted to play, he found a way to get that kid on a team. He paid entrance fees, gave rides, found equipment just so that kid had a chance to play. He gave countless hours of his time by coaching and working on the field. He did whatever it took so kids could play. The best way to honor Wallace Hall is to do the same-make sure a kid has the chance to play. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, August 9, 2021 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mike Angel, Bro. Garland Hullender and Junior Sexton officiating. Interment will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 4-8 P.M. Sunday and 9 AM until funeral time Monday at the funeral home.
