Lantie Geneva Tawzer Quinn

March 12, 1927 – July 25, 2021

Lantie Geneva Tawzer Quinn, age 94, of Chickamauga went home to be with the Lord on Sunday July 25, 2021.  She was born to the late William Hamilton and Mary Alice Greene Tawzer, was a lifelong resident of Chickamauga and was a member of First Baptist Church Chickamauga since 1938.  Lantie retired from Flegal Insurance in 1992 after more than 10 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed.  She was also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William L. Quinn, daughter Margaret Anne Quinn Powell, and was the youngest of nine children who have already passed.  Lantie is survived by her loving children, Jane (Jeff McCarthy) Quinn and Carl (Pam) Quinn, grandchildren, Quinn McCarthy, Andrew Quinn, Allyson Quinn (Travis) Bonning, Anna Quinn (Nathan) Unger and Alex Quinn, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 30, 2021, at the First Baptist Church Chickamauga, with Pastor Michael Savage officiating.  Interment will follow in the Chickamauga City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday.  In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial gifts to be made to First Baptist Church Chickamauga or Chickamauga Public Library.  Online register book at Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Homes – Chickamauga Chapel.

    Sending love to all the Quinns and McCarthys as they celebrate the life of their beloved mother and grandmother. Lantie was a woman small in stature but large in heart and kindness.
