Hearschel Edward Dixon

September 23, 1937 ~ July 26, 2021

Hearschel Edward Dixon, age 83 of Rossville, went to be with his Lord Monday July 26, 2021. He was a lifelong resident of the north Georgia area and a member of The Pentecostals of East Ridge. He retired from Stowers Machinery after 30 years of service as heavy equipment mechanic. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was long-time volunteer at the Chickamauga National Battlefield.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ruth Dixon; parents, Luther and Seller Dixon and six siblings.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Alanna Ragsdale (Chris); son, Tony Dixon (Belinda); grandchildren, Katie Portalatin (Jay), Aleishia Hicks (Harley) and Aaron Ragsdale (Heather); great-grandchildren, Kiernan Hicks, Kolton Hicks, Kwinton Hicks, Elisa Portalatin and Chapel Ragsdale; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends 6pm until 9pm Wednesday at Wilson Funeral Home Fort Oglethorpe Chapel. Funeral Service will be 12pm Thursday in the Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Johhny Headrick officiating. Interment will follow at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Gardens.

    Such a sweet man who was loved deeply by his family and will be missed. He was a lucky man to have such a loving daughter who took amazing care of him. I will always cherish knowing this man and him always calling me Gloria!
