Katie Kinsey Grigsby “Miss Curley”

May 10, 1933 – July 15, 2021

Katie Kinsey Grigsby “Miss. Curley” age 88 of High Point, GA, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 15, 2021.  She was born to the late Luther and Avola Hill Kinsey in Chattanooga, was a lifelong resident of the High Point Community and was of the Baptist faith.  Katie enjoyed canning, traveling out west with her husband, family gatherings and sitting on the porch, watching the birds & squirrels play.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, who will be greatly missed.  Katie is survived by her loving husband, of 63 years, Ellis Grigsby “Curley”, daughter; Tammy Grigsby Hayes “Lil Curley” (Jerry Gilreath), grandson; Joshua (Krysten) Hayes, great grandson, Jeremy Cole Hayes; step-son, Garrie Grigsby, sisters, Jean Stotts, Jewell Parrish and Maxine Martin, brother; Tom (Sandy) Kinsey and several nieces and nephews.  The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 17, 2021 in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Dennis Chambers officiating.  Interment will follow in the High Point Community Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday and prior to the service on Saturday.  The family would like to thank Blakely and all of the Hearth Hospice ladies for their help and kindness during this difficult time.  Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home-J. Avery Bryan Chapel, Chickamauga.
