Betty Jane Silver Denton, 86, of Chickamauga, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 13, 2021. She had lived in the North Georgia area for most of her life and was of the Baptist faith. She was previously employed with Tennessee Valley Ice company as well as D&T Ice company for many years and loved spending time with her family & friends. She enjoyed tending to her flowers, sewing, listening to gospel music and was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister that will be truly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her father, Winford Silver, Sr.; mother, Flossie Heifner; husband, Alvin “Todd” Denton; children, Patricia Ann Lowery and Ronald Todd Denton; and sister, Bobbie Silver Ellison.
Survivors include her daughters & sons-in-law, Lisa & (Randal) Dalton and Michelle & (Gary) Harbour; brother & sister-in-law, Jack & (Linda) Silver, Jr.; sisters & brother-in-law, Tena & (Scott) Lynn and Sarah Goolsby; 9 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and numerous extended family & friends.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 16, 2021 in the LaFayette Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 – 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the Doctor’s and Staff of Hearth Hospice, especially, Tammy Bradford, Terri Walker and Cynthia Martin for their care and compassion during this difficult time.
