Henry Arthur Wint, 70, of Menlo, Georgia went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, April 26, 2021. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida to the late, Hilary & Mildred Brown Wint and had lived in the North Georgia area for most of his life. He was of the Baptist faith and was a United States Army Veteran, where he received the Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Expert Marksmanship Badge. He was a member of the American Legion Post #42 in Cartersville, GA and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. He loved spending time outdoors, enjoying time with his family & friends, but he will always be remembered for being a true giver in so many areas of his life. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother that will be truly missed by all who knew him. He was also preceded in death by 5 brothers, Hilary Wint, Jr., Billy Wint, Bobby Wint, Edward Wint and Johnny Fairbanks.
Survivors include his children, LoisAnn Wint, Melissa Wint and Henry Wint, Jr.; sisters, Patricia Ann & (Johnny) Smith, Wanda Sue Johnson & (Terry Poarch) and Bonnie Jackson; brothers, David & (Terri) Wint and Fredrick Wint; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and extended family & friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 1, 2021 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Bro. Hilary Robertson officiating. Burial will take place in Pisgah Cemetery in Decatur, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Friday and prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
