Elizabeth Ann Farrell, 78, of Ringgold, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on March 21, 2021. She was born on May 25, 1942 in New York City. Her parents moved first to Washington, DC and then to Silver Spring, Maryland where she graduated from Montgomery Blair High School in June 1959. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Pennsylvania State University. Elizabeth stayed a while on the east coast but her heart yearned for the West and she moved to Boulder, Colorado. In Boulder, Elizabeth met Myron Daugherty and they were married in 1981. Together they set out on an adventure and established their home in Salem, Missouri. Their farm was a welcome spot to numerous animals and many visitors. Elizabeth lost Myron when he died of cancer in November 2002. To honor his wish and to be close to his family, Elizabeth moved to Ringgold, Georgia in 2003. Elizabeth was a gifted writer—a poet and a guest columnist for a number of newspapers including the Rolla Daily News, Catoosa County News and The Daily World. She was very devout and attended Saint Gerard Majella Catholic Church. She was a free spirit and a gentle soul. She is dearly loved and she will be missed by her family and her friends and by all those whose lives she touched. She was predeceased by her father Dr John A Farrell, her mother Lillian Halperin Farrell and her husband Myron Daugherty. She is survived by her sisters Catherine Farrell (Steven Wofsy) and Dr Margaret Farrell (Elgin Riedel), nephews Raphy Wofsy and Jonathan Wofsy, and by Dr Steve Daugherty and Rebecca Daugherty (stepson and stepdaughter-in-law) and their children and grandchildren. Private services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel Ringgold, Georgia.
