Linda Faye ‘Judy’ Land Hegwood Wise

The world lost a wonderful person on Thursday, February 4, 2021 and will never be the same. Linda Faye “Judy” Land Hegwood Wise, 77 of Fort Oglethorpe, was a lifelong resident of Catoosa County and a member of Clearview Baptist Church. Faye was a compassionate caretaker whom worked as a nurse for more than 50 years at Hutcheson, with Hospice, Dr. Kinard, and Rosewood Assisted Living. She enjoyed making flower arrangements in her spare time. She was preceded in death by her husbands; Larry Hegwood and Sam Wise; mother, Mae Hullender Land Smitherman; step – father, W.T. Smitherman; sisters, Betty Land and Bernice Orr. Survivors include her daughters, Tammy (Donald) Pahle, of Thompsons Station, Tennessee; LaSonya (Mack) Dover of Ringgold; twin brother, Ray Land; grandchildren, Nickie (Jason) Pahle of Nashville, Tennessee, Houston (Courtney) Dover of East Ridge, Tennessee, Dylan (Rebecca) Pahle, of Louiville, Kentucky; nephews, Shane (Christi) Land of Bethel, Alaska, Tyson Land of Ringgold; very special friend, Tom Bloodworth of Fort Oglethorpe. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Clearview Baptist Church for the building fund, 2183 Dietz Road Ringgold, Georgia 30736.
