Homer Bradley Nelson

Homer Bradley Nelson age 85, of Dalton, Georgia went home to be with The Lord Thursday – December 3, 2020. He was born in Dalton, Georgia to the late Homer H. Nelson and Bonnie Brown Nelson. He graduated from Valley Point High School and served in the Air Force National Guard Reserve. He served as a Deacon and was a member of the Cecil Johnson Sunday School Class at the First Baptist Church of Dalton where he was a longtime member. He retired from Brown Printing and pursued his passion of Real Estate Investment. He enjoyed snow and water skiing, camping, boating, being at the lake, riding motorcycles and traveling. Homer’s greatest enjoyment came from being surrounded by his family, especially his grandchildren. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his dear wife: Betty J. Whaley Nelson; and brother in-laws John Shuler and Earl Watson. He is survived by his children: Bradley (Katherine) Nelson, Julie Nelson, three sisters: Louise Watson, Lillian Shuler all of Dalton, Georgia, Shelia (Dan) McNeese of Rollins, MT, four grandchildren: Hunter (Rebekah) Nelson, Brock Nelson, Hadley Nelson and Destini Brackett, several nieces and nephews. A private service will be held for the family. Interment will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens – Dalton, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society @
