Robert David Halcomb, 75, of LaFayette, Georgia passed away at his daughter’s home in Muskogee, Oklahoma on Friday, August 7, 2020. Mr. Halcomb was a native of Hickory, Virginia, but was a resident of North Georgia for 57 years, and a member of Peavine Baptist Church in Rock Spring. He was retired from American Home Showplace in Dalton where he had worked in interior design and furniture sales for 28 years. During his retirement, Mr. Halcomb enjoyed spending time with his family, making wood crafts/hiking sticks, and traveling around the United States. He is preceded in death by his children Robert David Jr., Linda Lynette, and Zina Halcomb; parents Jim Mack Holcomb and Dorothy Drew Preston; and brothers Noah Holcomb and Jack Holcomb. Mr. Halcomb is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Linda Holsomback Halcomb of LaFayette/Ringgold; two daughters, Celena Pellam of Auckland, New Zealand and Sherrice (Bo) Jones of Muskogee, Oklahoma; brother Kenny (Teresa) Scales of Whitney, Texas; six grandchildren Brooke (Rusty) Massey, Chase (Delaina) Jones, Hannah (Ryan) Arnold, Austin Logan, Cullen (Michelle) Logan, and Victoria Pellam; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 16, 2020 at Gordy Cemetery in Ringgold, Georgia with Rev. Larry Wood officiating. Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home, Wallis-Stewart Chapel, Ringgold, Georgia.
