Mrs. Marlene Culver Steele

Marlene Culver Steele age 71, of Chickamauga, Georgia went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday – May 6, 2020. She was born in Henagar, Alabama to the late William Brady and Bertie Marie Lacy Culver. She has resided in the North Georgia area since 1951. She graduated from Rossville High School – Class of 1966, where she was the Cheerleader Captain. Marlene excelled in sports, such as softball and volleyball. She was a former employee of Railway Express Industry – “REI” and North Rossville Elementary. She was a member of Peavine Baptist Church. Marlene loved gardening and meeting with her Bible Study group. Her love for The Lord, her children, grandchildren and family were the most important and special entities in her life. She has left them an incredible legacy and example to follow. Her life and love both touched and left a lasting impact on everyone she met. She leaves behind her cherished husband of fifty-one years: William Randall Steele of Chickamauga, GA, their children: Lance (Mandy) Steele of Ringgold, GA, Shanna (Shawn) Rogers of Chickamauga, GA, Lacey (Jeff) Goodson of Chickamauga, GA, grandchildren: Denver and Emoree Rogers, Steele and Hampton Goodson, Layne Steele, due in May, Ruby Colleen Steele, sister: Billie June (Dwight) Sparks of Chickamauga, GA, several nieces and nephews. The family will have a Celebration of Marlene’s life at Hidden Lakes Farm in Chickamauga. Entombment will follow at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park – Rossville, Georgia. Marlene loved flowers and flowers are welcomed or memorial donations may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at
