Little Camdon Asher Wilhoite passed away on, Friday, September 28, 2018. When you say the words strength, bravery, fighter and sheer will power, you don’t usually associate those words with an infant. But anyone who was blessed enough to meet Little Camdon Asher Wilhoite, even if it was just for a moment, would quickly tell you he was all these things and so much more. Camdon was born, February 1, 2018, eighteen weeks premature not even weighing one pound at birth. Camdon was determined to defy all odds and amaze any and every one with the strength he had to keep fighting for his life. He was so very brave even being on life-support machines, having multiple procedures and major surgery, that special twinkle never left his beautiful little green eyes. I would say that Camdon was blessed to have all the Doctors, Nurses, Specialist, Mentors and even more medical personal on his team fighting for him to let him keep his will to fight alive. Although, his whole NICU team and PICU team will all say they were truly blessed to take care of him. Sadly enough Camdon’s little body just could not put up the fight any longer than he had already fought. Regardless, he remained brave to the very end. In his last moments, before God called Camdon home, he lay in his mommy’s arms as she held him close to her heart. Starting in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and ended up in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Camdon and his mommy, Nichole Wilhoite, were surrounded with love and support from his granny, Darlin R. Michelle Reid and husband, David E. Hart as he finished his eight-month fight for his life.
