Rev. Ralph Edward Crumley, Sr., 89, of Fort Oglethorpe, was born on April 2, 1923 and went to sleep peacefully at home and woke up in the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, January 15, 2013. He had lived in the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas for most of his life and was a member of Canaan Baptist Church. He was an Army Veteran of WW II where he was the recipient of the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon w/2 Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Ribbon, Victory Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon w/1 Bronze Star the Bronze Star Medal and the Bronze Arrowhead. He was also an Atlanta Braves Baseball Fan, he had served for many years as an Evangelist and was involved with radio ministry. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew & Christine Crumley; son, Ron Crumley; daughter-in-law, Yvonne Crumley; mother-in-law, Anna Croft; 5 sisters and 1 brother.
